Anorexia nervosa is an eating disorder that can result in severe weight loss. This disorder can lead to weakness and loss of weight, making the body susceptible to diseases.
It may be a result of chaotic lifestyle, gastro-intestinal disorders, illness, sores in mouth, excessive consumption of alcohol, smoking or emotional disturbances such as depression, anxiety, fear, etc.
Herbal remedies prove to be safe and effective in treating anorexia.
Let's Learn more about such time-tested natural remedies having no side effects on the body system -

1. Garlic is a natural appetite stimulator. Boil 3-4 finely chopped garlic cloves in water. Strain and add lemon juice and rock salt to taste. Take it twice daily for few weeks.

2. Drinking a glass of fresh orange juice or eating a few oranges helps to improve appetite.

3. One of the most effective remedies for anorexia is ginger and rock salt. Cut ginger into small pieces and add a few drops of lemon juice, a small pinch of rock salt, and black pepper powder. This can be eaten once daily on an empty stomach.

4. The strong taste and aroma of mint also helps to increase appetite. Taking a fresh extract of mint juice or having a cup of mint tea is a refreshing and appetising treat before meals.
